Shame on mom-shamers. Experienced their wrath? Share your story.

Interestingly enough, when I had made the choice to not include my children in social media people assumed I was never with them. As they got older I started to include them and do not get shamed - in fact, I get a lot of positive feedback for being a working mother. Truth is, shaming shouldn’t happen at all. You never know someone’s true story in Instagram - it’s what we feel comfortable showing at the time - and that is our right.

If any line of work needs inspo, it's motherhood. What type of mothers inspire you?

Being in quarantine I certainly have a new found respect for stay-at-home mamas and teachers that is for sure! I am always inspired by working moms though because I relate and am always curious to understand how women strike a healthy balance.

Sometimes we're all BAD MUTHAs (as we should be). When did you go against traditional advice?

I think I have always gone against it because I had to as a single mom. My positioning was always - you are coming into my life and will therefore need to adapt to our circumstance because I cannot afford to adapt to yours. If There was noise at home, they needed to fall asleep in that environment. If we were traveling and I couldn't heat up their bottle, they needed to adapt to this. I think it has taught them to be incredibly easy-going, low maintenance children. They were never fussy.

Better worlds start with better moms. How can the motherhood community improve?

By supporting each other more. Not judging people for their choice of parenting. Obviously if a child’s Heath and safety are at risk this is a different story.

How do you like to MUTHA yourself and ensure you still have some 'me' time?

In this quarantine - ZERO! It feels like I just gave birth to triplets and I am lucky if I get to shower.
